Best of all, this recipe requires no yeast and minimal effort. You’ll have golden, pan-cooked flatbreads ready in under 30 minutes. Customize with herbs, chili flakes, or cheese for your own signature twist, or keep them classic and let the garlic shine.

 Ingredients:

For the Flatbreads:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for softer dough)
  • 2–3 tbsp water, if needed

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 3 tbsp butter (or olive oil for vegan option)
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

 Instructions:

1. Make the Dough:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add yogurt and mix until a rough dough forms. If too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time.
  • Knead on a floured surface for 3–4 minutes until soft and smooth. Cover and rest for 10–15 minutes.

2. Prepare Garlic Butter:

  • Melt butter in a small pan over low heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in parsley and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

3. Roll & Cook Flatbreads:

  • Divide dough into 6 equal balls. Roll each one into a circle or oval, about ¼-inch thick.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and puffed with light char spots.
